Etsy update and the joy of painting

I just wanted to pop over today to say HI, and to let you know I have updated the Etsy shop in the last couple weeks. There are some larger portraits available, drawings, as well as a painting on wood. More will be coming in the future.

For now, I hope you enjoy these!

Portrait of Whitney – 16 x 20 inch acrylic on stretched canvas

Pink – 5 x 7 inch acrylic and pencil on wood panel

Girl with a Sunflower – 14 x 18 inch acrylic on stretched canvas (SOLD, thank you!)

Portrait of Giovanna – 14 x 18 inch acrylic on stretched canvas

I have jumped back into painting this past week, after taking a little time off for family travel. It felt SO good to get back in front of the easel again…it is certainly my HAPPY place! Something about scrubbing acrylic paint onto the surface of the canvas, that incredible sound… the feeling of putting color where there was none, creating a face from nothing. It is incredibly challenging and liberating at the same time. And certainly hard for me to put into words! All I can say, is that I truly love it, and when I can’t paint, I miss it terribly.

I hope you are having an exquisite weekend!
