Petite Portraits

Summer has started here, and when the weather heats up, I come inside where it’s cool…and make art! This past week, I have been finishing up these tiny portraits…between 3 and 6 inches…on wood panels.

PortraitofElsa3 – Version 2

All kinds of materials were used on these little ladies… from graphite to watercolor, acrylic, and colored pencils! They are so much fun to play with…especially when I need a break from painting on larger canvases or painting “realistic” faces. With these, I can use my imagination, instead of photo references.

These mini beauties can be found in my online art shop,

ArtcyLucy on Etsy.

“…and then, I have nature and art and poetry,                                                           and if that is not enough, what is enough?”
