I am so excited to share my newest class with you! If you loved Quirky Characters, you are going to LOVE this one!
I have had an awesome year of studying the art of Egon Schiele…ever since I went to see his art in Vienna.
Something about his art, especially his portraits, really touched me deeply. I LOVED the way he used a variation of line, and I loved how LOOSE and free his portraits looked. Even with the distortion, and crazy colors…I fell in love! (He definitely made quirky characters before I ever did!!!)
After a year of playing with lines and unexpected color, inspired by his work…I wanted to share my love for this way of art making with you guys! Kara Bullock has been so encouraging as an artist, and I am so happy to say that I am on her creative network with this new class,
After 8+ hours of video in 26 instruction videos…it is finally ready to share!
Here’s a sneak peek of the fun we will have…but there’s so much more than this!
We start off simply…with the humble pencil.
Then we move on to ink…
and we play with adding color in unexpected ways…with colored pencils, artist crayons and gouache.
We will have a lesson on adding hands to portraits, as well as a whole lesson on figures…we will draw expressively, and have FUN.
