How is everyone holding up under the shelter-at-home guidelines? I hope you are all staying safe and staying creative!
I have gone through periods of no motivation, blahs, silly laughter, wandering in the garden, petting my cats, painting, drawing, learning how to navigate a new normal while hubby works from home too…and all kinds of stuff in between! I am also cooking an awful lot!
How are YOU doing? What a strange time we are living in. My one constant, has been art though. Even if I don’t paint every day, I find a way to draw daily…even if it’s just one silly scribbly portrait!
I am very happy that my class The Curious Artist is now LIVE, (as of last Friday!) and students have been gathering in our Facebook group, as well as gathering their art supplies, to start playing! This has been a great time to come together and make art across the globe.
There is still time to jump in while I am actively participating with the class. AND I have some awesome news… for a limited time, with the purchase of the new course, The Curious Artist, comes my first class, Quirky Characters! So, two fun classes for just one price!
These classes compliment each other! While Quirky Characters is heavily based in drawing, The Curious Artist adds in charcoal, watercolor and acrylic painting…as well as a slow stitching lesson!
I hope you will jump in and enjoy them both!
In other news, I have just wrapped up filming of my main lesson for Let’s Face It 2020, which is due to come out this summer. I am still editing and getting it ready for you guys, but I am excited about it, as I am painting a sitting figure (something I don’t do often!). So, it was definitely a learning lesson for me! And I hope you will enjoy it too!
This past spring, I have also played around with abstracts, and it has been a lot of fun to throw down paint and bright color…
color cheers me up!!!
There’s more layers going on these…so I will share more on that later.
When I get stressed out (and it is easy in this world of uncertainty), I tend to play with waterlilies. They calm me too. And I worked on a small set of waterlily postcards that I sent out to family and friends.
What have you been doing to offset the stress and angst that can creep in on us???
